I only recently received the Massdrop x NuForce Everyday Carry in-ear monitor for evaluation. Now, there are many ways to listen to music. I have looked at speakers, earbuds and headphones, but this is my first set of in-ear monitors. I admit that this is the first time I have heard this term used for personal listening devices. What is an in-ear monitor, or IEM for short? Are they better? Are they more expensive? Read on for a complete review of Massdrop x NuForce EDC in earbuds.

The design of Massdrop x NuForce Everyday Carry (EDC) will not attract your attention. They look like ordinary earplugs. Until you notice that these IEMs are located below the ear canal. This is the difference between IEM and earplugs. The IEM is located in the ear canal, and the earplugs are located on the outside of the ear. The NuForce in-ear headphones I reviewed are smoky and transparent gray. They are also available in smoky transparent blue and matte black finishes. They are a bit like gummies and fit the ears very well. Silicone earplugs are very comfortable in the ear canal, while foam earplugs feel a little tight, unlike foam earplugs. In any case, they did not feel uncomfortable. I just prefer the feel of silicone earplugs.

Now let’s look at the reason for the comment: the sound. The sound of Massdrop x NuForce EDC is very natural and balanced. The treble, midrange and bass are all perfectly balanced. The treble is bright and crisp, the midrange is round, and the bass penetrates without shaking you to the core.

When I test my hearing equipment, I use various music styles for testing. Although every music style I tested on NuForce in-ear headphones sounded great, I found that listening to jazz and classical guitar on in-ear headphones was particularly beneficial. When listening to Adrian Legg, Bill Evans Trio or Ana Vidovic, I almost feel that I am in the same room with the artist. For me, it says a lot when you forget to wear an in-ear monitor and start to feel connected to music. The earphones do an excellent job of preventing the intrusion of ambient noise, allowing you to listen to music in a quiet room alone. Yes, in terms of appearance, Massdrop x NuForce EDC is not really a fashion center, but I think once you hear the sound they make, you don't think about their appearance.

Massdrop x NuForce EDC allows you to answer calls, as long as you use the built-in microphone/remote control to switch from a high-performance braided line to a normal line. I did this, the phone sounded very good, I could hear the caller's voice very well, and they said that my voice sounded no different from a normal phone. For three reasons, I personally will not bother switching the power cord. First of all, I don't like to use headphones or IEM to answer calls. Secondly, I prefer the richer sound provided by the braid. Third, I am worried that repeated replacement of the power cord will damage the connector. Not sure if this will happen, but I don't want to risk it. But it’s nice to know that if you want to answer the call, you can.

You can pre-order Massdrop x NuForce IEM for $59.99. I double-checked that price and it is correct. $59.99! In my opinion, considering the quality of the product and the amazing sound it makes, this is an incredible deal.

If you are looking for a set of in-ear monitors suitable for everyday carrying, then you should make sure to check out Massdrop x NuForce EDC. They provide excellent sound quality and comfort at a favorable price.
