Power supply manufacturer Seasonic has listed three Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards in its in-house wattage calculator, months ahead of their official release. While Seasonic provides the calculator to help people select the correct power supply for a given PC build, it also offers insights into the expected power consumption of the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT, Radeon RX 7800 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XT.

Currently, it is unknown whether these are placeholders, or whether Seasonic has already received power consumption details from about AMD's next-generation graphics cards. For reference, AMD has already confirmed that it will base the Radeon RX 7000 series on its RDNA 3 architecture. As we discussed last month, Navi 31 is believed to provide 73 TFLOPs of performance; approximate performance details for Navi 32 and Navi 33 have not leaked yet.

If Seasonic's information is correct, then power consumption requirements will not have changed much between the Radeon RX 6000 and Radeon RX 7000 series. On the one hand, Seasonic recommends a 750 W power supply for a PC with a Radeon RX 7800 XT or Radeon RX 7900 XT, matching the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6900 XT. On the other hand, Seasonic lists the Radeon RX 7700 XT as needing a 650 W power supply, mirroring its predecessor too. Incidentally, Seasonic recommends power supplies without the new 16-pin power connector, implying that the RX 7000 series will ship with 8+6 pin connectors, instead. As it stands, AMD remains on track to launch its RDNA 3-based desktop graphics cards later this year.
