The Molex Mini50 sealed wire-to-device socket is now available from RS Components, which can save space significantly compared to the traditional USCAR 0.64 mm connector. These wire-to-device sockets use smaller pins, terminals and wire gauges, while providing protection against water and dust. The circular shape allows through-hole wiring. The product has a matching guarantee feedback device to prevent accidental disconnection.
The product provides a 0.50 mm connector interface and has been tested to comply with the complete USCAR specification. It has no parting line on the sealing surface, and provides IP68 grade and IP69K with back shell. Provide a cavity plug with design flexibility. It can count multiple circuits in the same connector, simplifying inventory. Compared with the USCAR 0.64 mm unsealed interface, the reduced package size reduces the footprint by 25%. Compared with the four-circuit connector, it also reduces the PCB footprint by 30%.
